Consistently reliable for visuals

This isn't my first time using MyLens. I've had the Pro Annual Plan for a while and just renewed it. I mainly use the AI Flowchart Maker and the Text to Visual features. Every time, the results are consistent. It's reliable, and I know what to expect. That's why I keep coming back; it just works for my needs without any hassle.

Good value for annual plan

I was looking for a tool to help with research summarization and found MyLens. The Pro Annual Plan seemed like the best deal. I got a good discount compared to paying monthly. It felt like a solid investment for the features I needed, definitely worth what I paid.

Easy to make diagrams

I tried out the AI Chart Creator for a school project. It was pretty easy to get started. I just put in my text, and it made a nice chart. Saved me a bunch of time. I liked how simple it was to use. Definitely made things easier.

Quick visual creation

Used the PDF to Visual feature. Uploaded my document, and it made a diagram fast. Worked as expected. Simple and quick.

Decent tool, minor hiccup

I got the Growth Annual Plan mostly for the AI Mindmap Generator and the YouTube to Timeline feature. The mindmaps came out pretty good, very helpful for brainstorming. The YouTube to Timeline worked, but it took a bit longer than I thought for a longer video. Delivery was instant since it's a digital product. Overall, it's a valuable tool, but the processing time for longer YouTube content could be improved slightly.

Thinking about getting MyLens for my team. Is it pretty much the same as Lucidchart or Miro for business stuff?

S Sam 4 weeks ago
Nah, it's different. MyLens is way more about taking text or docs and turning them into visuals automatically with AI. Lucidchart and Miro are more traditional drag-and-drop. So like, if you have a bunch of meeting notes you want to flowchart, MyLens is better. If you want to manually draw out every box, the others might feel more familiar.

Depends what you're doing. For quick concepts from text or youtube videos, MyLens is great. For collaborative drawing from scratch, Miro might still be king.

Does MyLens take PayPal? Or just credit cards for subscriptions?

T Todd 1 month ago
I paid with a credit card directly, not sure about PayPal. Most places do both these days though.

I'm pretty sure it's just cards directly for recurring subscriptions. I don't recall seeing a PayPal option when I signed up for the annual plan.

I'm always worried about signing up for annual stuff. Can you cancel MyLens anytime if it's not working out?

N Neil K. 1 month ago
You can cancel future renewals, but for annual plans, you generally don't get a refund for the current year if you just decide you don't want it anymore. That's pretty standard though.

K Kate V. 1 month ago
Yeah, you can cancel your subscription from renewing but you pay for the full year upfront. No partial refunds on annual plans usually. I think that's in their terms.

Hey, anyone know if they do student discounts for MyLens? Trying to get it for my thesis.

C Cleo 1 month ago
Yeah, I think I saw something about that. Check their site, they usually have a page for it.

They totally do! I got a pretty sweet deal for my engineering classes last semester. Just gotta verify your student email or whatever. Worth it for research summarizer tool alone.

So I have a bunch of old PDFs with research notes, can MyLens turn those into visuals without me having to copy-paste everything?

J Jared Whitfield 4 weeks ago
Totally, that's one of its main things! PDF to Visual is a feature. It's pretty good at extracting info and making diagrams from documents.
1
D Dan 3 weeks ago
Yep, you can upload PDFs. It analyzes the text and tries to turn it into timelines or mindmaps. It's not perfect every time, but definitely saves a ton of work compared to doing it by hand.

MyLens seems cool for work. What's the deal with the Pro vs Growth plans? Trying to figure out which one makes sense.

B Ben Ito 1 month ago
Pro is more for individuals or smaller teams, Growth is for bigger orgs that need more advanced features and higher usage limits. Check their pricing page, it breaks down the differences pretty well.

N Noor 1 month ago
Growth has more bells and whistles, especially around collaboration and integrations, from what I remember. And higher limits on exports and stuff. If you're sharing a lot or doing really complex diagrams, Growth probably.

Is MyLens actually free to use for basic stuff? Or is it like, free trial then gotta pay?

A Alex Osei 1 month ago
They have a free version, yeah. It's limited but lets you try out the core features.

N Nina Kaur 1 month ago
There's a free tier, but it's pretty basic. Good for testing it out though before you commit to a plan.
